Not all business ideas come to fruition, but at YES we believe it is better to fully investigate a business idea and then to discover that the idea is not practical under the conditions envisaged, rather than to stumble headlong chasing a dream that leave a trail of debt and disaster.

The food and drinks industry

Hygege is all important within the brewing industry as is cost reduction.

YES undertook a small line balancing review of a cask cleaning line and within one week the company managed to increase productivity by 50%.

During the exercise YES identified a significant process problem, which when addressed produced a further increase in productivity of 33%.

The net result of a one week exercise was a 100% increase in productivity.

Within the frozen food industry the disposal of waste material is a significant problem.

YES undertook a waste elimination exercise, the net result was that the waste product was totally eliminated and the overall yield of the process rose by some 15%.

Furniture Manufacturing

YES was recommended to an young entrepreneur who was looking to invest around £1,000,000 in setting up a furniture manufacturing business, to provide the necessary comfort YES was retained to write the necessary business plan.

Once the business plan had been completed, the entrepreneur decided to proceed with his investment and invited YES to act as bith the on site consultant and the project manager to implement the business plan.

Within two months the plant and equipment had been sourced purchaed and installed.

During the following six months the company expanded under the direction of YES, breaking into new markets and taking on a workforce of 90.

Since then the company has again changed direction and opened a small chain of retail outlet and has started to import quality furniture.
